Compact thermal imagers are devices capable of detecting the slightest temperature difference. They convert the difference between temperatures into a video image and transmit it in real time to the display. The video image displayed on the display is excellent for conducting surveillance at night. Unlike other night vision systems, which require at least a little illumination to create an image, lighting is absolutely not required for a thermal camera.
